At Seniors Helping Seniors® Fort Lauderdale, we have a passion for meeting the needs of seniors in a way that provides both dignity and a sense of camaraderie. Our owner(s) Ed Dunkel, Paul Kaiser firmly believe we can do that through providing home care and serving seniors in our community, which includes: Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach and Northern Broward County. Read more about us.
Paul and Ed share the unique experience of caring for their elderly parents with the challenge of Alzheimer's and dementia. They not only had to search out care options for their own parents, but have had to evaluate and judge prospective care programs. Both feel that if they can lessen the burden of elder care for other individuals, they will have made a great positive contribution. Allowing an individual to age in home or in place is not only a positive result for the receivers of our services. It is also rewarding to us as providers and business owners.
Ed was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Fleetwood Area High School, Fleetwood, PA, from Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PA. He holds a doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Ed has 1 sister, Elizabeth, 3 children Johanna Weber, Samuel and William Dunkel and 3 grandchildren Nathan and Samuel Weber, and one on the way. He also takes care of his mother Madeline in Palm Aire. Ed worked for numerous years in Academic Medicine specifically in viral diseases and infections of the eye. He has extensive experience in company development, in management and daily corporate operations.
Paul is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Paul graduated from Jefferson High School and from The University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He holds a BA degree in Political Science and has extensive experience in business management, company and new product development.
